Riven Cladding in Slate, Quartzite & Sandstone
Narrow split-face strips that stack into tight, linear courses — in four slates, five quartzites and Lesotho sandstone.
Riven cladding is natural stone split into long, narrow strips and stacked dry, with no visible mortar joint. The result is the crisp, horizontal “stack-stone” wall behind so many contemporary fireplaces, entrance walls and patios.
Because every strip is split along the stone’s natural grain, each face catches the light differently. We stock riven cladding in slate — the warmest and most colourful — as well as hard-wearing quartzite and pale Lesotho sandstone, so you can match the tone of your floors, roof or paving.
Riven strips are packed 1 m² per level, which makes quantities simple. Send us your wall’s width and height on WhatsApp and we’ll confirm coverage, delivery and a free quote.

-
Columns & pillars
Narrow strips wrap corners neatly, so columns and gate pillars look solid stone.
