Quartzite Wall Cladding

Hard, colour-fast quartzite in riven strips, building stone and random vertical formats — from cool Silver Mist to warm Autumn Emerald.

Quartzite is one of the hardest natural walling stones there is, and it shows: the colours stay true outdoors and many of our ranges carry a natural shimmer that catches the light. It is the stone to choose when a wall has to look as good in twenty years as it does on the day it is built.

We supply quartzite in three formats. Riven strips, 40–50 mm high, stack into tight horizontal courses. Building stone and “thin” formats are split, not cut, for traditional dry-stone walling. Random and vertical formats give the irregular, organic pattern often seen on feature pillars and fireplaces.

Our split quartzite is supplied non-masoned — the edges are split rather than sawn, and the final look depends on how your stonemason dresses and lays it. We’ll happily talk your builder through it, estimate coverage from your wall dimensions, and send a free quote.

Good to know

Quartzite cladding: your questions answered

What is quartzite cladding?

Quartzite is a very hard natural stone formed from sandstone under heat and pressure. As wall cladding it is prized for colours that don’t fade outdoors and, in many ranges, a natural shimmer. We supply it as riven strips, split building stone and random vertical pieces.

Is quartzite cladding suitable for exterior walls?

Yes — quartzite is one of the best stones for exterior walls, façades, boundary walls and pillars because it is hard, dense and colour-fast in sun and rain. It works just as well indoors on feature walls and fireplaces.

Is your quartzite cladding ready to install?

Riven strips are ready to stack. Our building-stone, thin and vertical quartzite is split rather than cut and is supplied non-masoned, so the finished look depends on the stonemason who dresses and lays it. We’re happy to brief your builder.

How thick is quartzite cladding?

Riven strips are 40–50 mm high. Building stone has a face of about 30–60 mm and stands 60–80 mm from the wall; the thin format has a 20–40 mm face and stands 40–80 mm from the wall. Random vertical pieces stand 20–50 mm from the wall.

How much does quartzite cladding cost?

We quote every job individually rather than publishing a per-metre rate that may not match your stone, size or quantity. Send us your measurements on WhatsApp and we’ll reply with a written, no-obligation quote — usually within the hour during business hours. Contractors and resellers get trade pricing.

Do you deliver quartzite cladding?

Yes. We deliver across Gauteng and to every province in South Africa on our own fleet of trucks, and you’re welcome to collect from the Northriding warehouse in Randburg.
